It maintains the sound representation in an “additive state” much longer than more conventional additive synths. So what’s all the fuss about? Other synths like Alchemy and Image-Line’s own Morphine are additive synths.

Harmless is a worthy instrument in its own right, but it’s overshadowed by its vastly more competent successor, Harmor.
#FL STUDIO HARMOR TOO LARGE UPGRADE#
There’s nothing quite like it out there, except for its predecessor, Harmless, which also just got the 64-bit upgrade treatment. Harmor is a thoroughly unique innovation. For a geek moment, read the sidebar “Why Delphi?”. Harmor is written in Delphi, a powerful development environment, but one that will never find life on the Mac platform. Harmor’s author is Didier Dambrin, a brilliant (and I suspect slightly mad, but in a very good way 🙂 ) software innovator.

But it’s PC-only, and that’s never likely to change. I’ll be saying some extremely complementary things about Harmor. But let me say up front: Mac users, read no further or you’ll just end up very disappointed. As such, a fresh look at this instrument is certainly warranted.

The Harmor software synth from Image-Line debuted several years ago, but it has just recently (at last!) matriculated to 64-bitness. As such, a fresh look at this instrument is warranted.īy David Baer, Sept. However, when uploading to SNS etc., high frequencies are cut at the time of compression, so be careful about that area.Įven if it is Wav, this high frequency sound is only noise, so it is better not to use it for anything other than play. The Harmor software synth from Image-Line debuted several years ago, but it has just recently matriculated to 64-bitness. If it can be expressed in black and white, icons etc. I could easily make a watermark of sound.
#FL STUDIO HARMOR TOO LARGE HOW TO#
How to use FL Studio Let's add a sound watermark using Harmor Summary In the following video, it is ringing with "A4 (57)". High frequencies are cut when uploading to Youtube, Twitter, etc., so adjustment is required. The pitch of the sound changes depending on the sound you make. When making adjustments, load Wave Candy into the mixer and check. You can change the start position with "Time" and the character spacing with "Speed". If you play around "C4 (48)" in this state, you will see something that looks like a character in the spectrum view. I want to be able to check it in the spectrum view, so click the red frame below "Harmor" twice.Ĭhange the red frame below "freq" to "Hz".Ĭhange the red frame below "freq" to "1.0000/4". (The color of the letters changes from white to light blue, but there is no problem) The save format can be anything, but I chose "Png".įrom the presets, click Template-> Resynthesis.ĭrag the image created in the previous step to "Harmor". The size should be 512 * 512 and the background should be black.Īfter that, enter the characters in white. Win key+ r Enter "mspaint" and click "OK" It can be written or something like an ordinary illustration, but a single color is the best. I'm not confident because I haven't been able to verify it for a while) I'm using Harmor to watermark the soundįirst, create an image to be embedded as a watermark. (Maybe it can be done with the demo version of FL Studio. If you have FL Studio, this article can be reproduced by Harmor in the demo version.
